SMS Privacy Commitment
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
SMS opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, transferred, or shared with any third party, affiliate, or lead generator. Consent applies only to Pride Sports USA and the specific messaging Program described in this policy.
Message frequency varies — typically only a few messages per season, plus any one-time verification codes you request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
1. Scope
This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Pride Sports USA, LLC ("Pride Sports USA," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information associated with the Pride Sports USA Staff & Umpire Account Access SMS Program (the "Program").
This policy is the specific and controlling privacy notice for Program mobile information, text-message data, opt-in records, and consent, and it supplements the Pride Sports USA Privacy Policy. No Pride Sports USA policy or agreement authorizes the sale, rental, transfer, or sharing of Program mobile information, opt-in data, or consent.
2. Program Description
The Program sends transactional, non-promotional SMS messages to authorized Pride Sports USA staff members and umpires who personally opt in at https://pridesportsusa.com/sms-optin. Messages are limited to personal account setup and score-keeper sign-in links, requested one-time verification or security codes, and enrollment, HELP, opt-out, security, and service confirmations directly related to the Program.
The Program does not send advertising, sponsor offers, merchandise promotions, registration solicitations, or unrelated league marketing. A Program opt-in is not treated as consent to any other SMS campaign or any other sender.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on how you enroll in and use the Program, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Identity and role information, including your full name, username, staff or umpire role, and account identifier.
- Mobile contact information, primarily the mobile phone number you provide.
- Consent records, including the date and time of opt-in, the opt-in method or source page, the consent language and policy version presented, consent status, and reasonable technical evidence (such as the IP address and browser data of the consent event).
- Messaging information, including messages sent to and received from your number, enrollment confirmations, HELP or STOP requests, opt-out confirmations, timestamps, and support communications.
- Technical and delivery information, including carrier, delivery status, error codes, and security or fraud indicators.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.
Do not send passwords, complete payment-card information, medical information, or other sensitive personal information through the Program.
4. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you complete the Program opt-in form, request a verification code, reply to a Program message, or request support. Pride Sports USA may already hold your staff or umpire onboarding information, but a mobile number will not be used for Program messages unless the required Program-specific consent is recorded.
Our messaging service provider, Twilio, participating telecommunications carriers, and related delivery providers may generate or return message-routing, delivery, consent, error, security, and fraud-prevention information while processing Program messages on our behalf.
5. How We Use Information
Pride Sports USA uses Program information only as reasonably necessary to:
- enroll you in the Program and maintain your communication preferences;
- send personal account setup and score-keeper sign-in links and requested verification or security codes;
- authenticate users, protect accounts, and investigate suspected misuse or unauthorized access;
- process and document opt-in, opt-out, and HELP requests;
- provide customer care and troubleshoot delivery or account-access problems;
- maintain evidence of consent and compliance with applicable law and messaging rules;
- monitor, maintain, improve, and secure the Program; and
- comply with lawful requests, protect rights and safety, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Pride Sports USA does not use Program information, opt-in data, or consent to send marketing or promotional text messages. If Pride Sports USA offers another SMS program in the future, it will obtain any separate consent required for that program before sending messages.
6. How We Disclose Information
Pride Sports USA does not sell or rent Program information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, transferred, or shared with any third party, affiliate, or lead generator. Pride Sports USA does not use, rent, sell, or share opt-in lists. Consent is a direct agreement between you and Pride Sports USA — it is not transferable and is not permission for another sender or another message subject.
Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. The only disclosures of Program information are:
- Messaging service providers and telecommunications carriers. Twilio, wireless carriers, and supporting hosting, security, and customer-service vendors may process only the information reasonably necessary to transmit the Program messages you requested, maintain consent and suppression records, secure the Program, prevent fraud, or perform contracted support — acting on Pride Sports USA's behalf as service providers that assist in delivering our services. These providers are not authorized to use Program information for their own marketing or promotional purposes or for any independent purpose.
- Legal, security, and safety purposes. Pride Sports USA may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a subpoena, court order, lawful government request, or carrier requirement; investigate fraud or abuse; protect accounts, rights, safety, or property; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties.
7. Message Frequency and Charges
Message frequency varies based on account activity. Most enrolled staff members and umpires receive only a few messages per season, and each verification-code request may generate one additional message. Message and data rates may apply under your wireless plan.
8. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may opt out of the Program at any time by replying STOP to any Program message. Pride Sports USA will send one final confirmation and will then suppress the number from further Program messages unless you later complete a new affirmative opt-in. Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of Program personal information by emailing info@PrideSportsUSA.com. Pride Sports USA may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary to honor an opt-out, protect account security, maintain evidence of consent, comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
Pride Sports USA will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
9. Retention
Pride Sports USA retains Program information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. This generally includes the period during which your Program enrollment or staff or umpire role is active and an appropriate period afterward for account security, consent verification, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcement.
Pride Sports USA may retain a minimal suppression record for as long as needed to honor an opt-out and avoid sending unwanted messages. Consent evidence, delivery records, and security logs may be retained for an appropriate period consistent with applicable legal and operational requirements. Information may remain temporarily in restricted backups before secure deletion or de-identification.
10. Security
Pride Sports USA uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect Program information, including access restrictions, authentication, encryption in transit, private access-controlled storage, logging, vendor controls, fraud monitoring, and security-incident procedures. No electronic system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Do not share a sign-in link or verification code. Promptly report suspected unauthorized access or a lost, disconnected, or reassigned mobile number.
11. Children
The Program is intended for adults serving as Pride Sports USA staff members or umpires. Pride Sports USA does not knowingly enroll anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has been enrolled or that Pride Sports USA collected a minor's mobile information through the Program, contact info@PrideSportsUSA.com.
12. United States Processing
Pride Sports USA is based in the United States. Program information may be processed and stored in the United States by Pride Sports USA and service providers acting on its behalf. Applicable law may provide additional rights or restrictions based on your location.
13. Changes to This Policy
Pride Sports USA may update this SMS Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or Program operations. The revised policy will be posted at this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
If a change would materially expand how Program information is used or the subject matter or purpose of Program messages, Pride Sports USA will provide notice and obtain any additional consent required by law, carrier rules, or messaging-industry requirements before applying the expanded use.
